A New Digital Age: Data at the Forefront of Inclusion, Equity, and Justice
BOSTON – Social impact, public service and tech leaders from around the country will gather to explore the role of data in building a more inclusive, equitable and just future during a special event this fall hosted by NationSwell and the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation.
The Sept. 24 event: A New Digital Age: Data at the Forefront of Inclusion, Equity and Justice will feature a virtual panel discussion with Kay Firth-Butterfield, head of artificial intelligence and machine learning at the World Economic Forum; author, social innovator and tech leader Ann Mei Chang and Martha Hernandez, CEO and founder of Madebos and member of Latinas in Tech. The event will be live streamed from 1-2 p.m. ET on the NationSwell Facebook page.
The panel discussion is part of NationSwell’s Build It Back Better initiative to support leaders as they work to rebuild systems and solutions in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and racial justice movement. Build It Back Better features robust conversations across sectors, including education, economic opportunity, climate justice, racial equity, gender equity, the future of work, social cohesion and democratic resilience.
